Changelog & roadmap
Where to find Contral release notes, the Learn mode roadmap, beta status, and how to request features.
Here's where to find what's new in Contral and what's coming next.
What's new in Contral#
- Contral extension: each new version's notes are on its Visual Studio Marketplace page and Open VSX page. The extension also tells you when an update is available.
- Contral IDE: release notes for the current version are on the download page, under Release Notes. The app updates itself.
Contral roadmap#
The Learn mode roadmap shows what's shipping now and what's planned:
- Now (beta): Java, a structured path from basics through data structures. Java is the only Learn mode language shipping today.
- Later: more Learn mode languages, after Java is solid. There's no published language-by-language schedule yet.
Build mode already works with whatever language your project uses.
Contral beta status#
Contral IDE is in public beta. The beta page lists what ships today and the known limitations, including that macOS builds are Apple Silicon only and that Windows and Linux builds appear on the download page when published.
Request a feature#
Send feature requests from Dashboard → Feedback (contral.ai/feedback), through the support form (category "Feature Request"), or in the Contral Discord.
Still stuck? Ask the support assistant in the corner of this page, or open a support ticket.
